Road Closure and Parking Information
|
The Boise Feis will be sharing the Saturday morning with the
St. Luke’s Women’s Fitness Celebration, a 5K event that is
expected to draw 20,000 attendees to the same neighborhood. Needless
to say, parking will be dear. In addition, there will be a number
of road closures to support the course which runs along Capital
Blvd.
If you are staying at the Grove and arrive Friday, you should have
no trouble. If you are driving in on Saturday morning, you should
plan to arrive early. Roads in the downtown core (two blocks away)
will start closing at 06:30 AM so don't try to go that way. Capital
Blvd will be open until 08:30. A good strategy is to carpool, drop
everyone off and then have the driver go find parking. There are
several garages in the area, street parking is free on the weekends,
and Boise Cascade and Idaho Power are allowing people to park in their
lots. If all else fails, the BSU parking lots are only a few blocks
to the south.

about the course route, road closures, etc.
This Link shows a general map of the area showing the 5K course and road closures.
The starting area is
two blocks to the north and the roads through there close at 6:30AM.
General Notes:
- Americana Blvd will be closed pretty much all morning. Take another route.
- Downtown core (2 blocks north) will close at 6:30
- Capital Blvd will close at 8:30 and remain that way until about noon.
- Once Capital Blvd closes, your best approach will be from the west.
